The Yun Hall Culture and Art Center made their debut to the public

On January 25, the Yun Hall Culture and Art Center was open for trial operation and held its first exhibition and premiere.

 

Located in Songjiang District, Shanghai, the Yun Hall Cultural Art Center is a major practical project and a significant livelihood project of the district party committee and district government, aiming to building a comprehensive high-quality cultural landmark, providing one-stop public cultural services such as art exhibitions, cultural performances, group activities and reading for all, etc. After it is put into operation, it will be the role of the iconic public cultural function center in Songjiang.

 

Designed by Xing Tonghe, chief architect, Shanghai Xian Dai Architechure, whose works pursue the organic combination of the spirit of the times and national tradition, modern technology and history and culture, the Yun Hall Culture and Art Center expresses a strong sense of innovation and highlights the "new Chinese" aesthetic style.

 

The Yun Hall Culture and Art Center contains a theatre, Yun Theatre, which is about 10,000 square meters and can accommodate about 1,200 audiences, it is captable of meeting the needs of dance performance, opera, drama, symphonic concerts, Chinese opera and variety shows, etc.

 

The theatre’s new system comprises KARA IIi as the L&R system, consisting of SB28 for low frequency extension. With using SB18i, A15i WiFo are deployed as the central system, and it is also applied as fill system in the front area, while X8 are used for sorround fill. X4i are distributed across the stage lip and the pit. For stage monitor, X12 are chosen to deliver clear sound in real time.

 

Yun theatre has a large L-Acoustics system integrated into the venue, and certainly DiGiCo would be the ideal solution for the task. Two DiGiCo’s Quantum338 is the desk of choice for Yun theatre. The Real-time data synchronization ensures stable audio output during the performance.

 

On the premiere, the G60 Shanghai Songjiang Spring Festival Concert held at Yun Theatre was presented by the Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, with traditional pieces such as Spring Festival Overture and The Butterfly Lovers, as well as excerpts from Classic of Mountains and Seas, and "Fathers", a commissioned work to celebrate the centenary of the founding of the CPC, and the first movement of The Light of G60, a symphony praising for Songjiang, composed by a renowned composer Qiang Weihao.
